Camping Information
Lake Francis has a fantastic campground, surrounded by tall trees, with grass to pitch your tent upon. The festival reserves the entire resort for the weekend.
Due to the capacity crowd we always draw, festival campers need to buddy up, make friends and share campsites so everyone has a place to stay. So if you are just one or two people camping, please make room for others and expect to share a site! Each site can fit at least six people, and they are available on a first come, first served basis.
Here is the map of the upper campground so your group can plan your stay.
We have expanded another camping area adjacent to the festival grounds. There are a limited number of tickets for this area, so if you are interested, book fast when the store opens! You will have to choose “upper” or “lower” at the time of purchase. Click here for more details on the lower campground. We think this will become a really popular location, once people realize where it is and how nice it looks on festival weekend!
There are a number of cabin options.
The upper campground has two deluxe cabins( Lakeview & Sundance), which have a shower, bathroom, small kitchen, and two bedrooms which can sleep 8. No Pets.
There are four mini-deluxe cabins, which are the same as the deluxe, but with only one bedroom (sleeps 4). No Pets.
There are three Mini Premium cabins which have similar accommodations to mini deluxe. Pet friendly.
Ten rustic cabins (sleep up to 6) have a double bed and four single bunks in one room. No kitchen or bathroom, but they have a cooking area outside the cabin. Pet friendly.
Six Bare cabins which have similar accommodations to rustic cabins but sleep 5. Pet friendly.
There are three Premium cabins, a one-bedroom and two two-bedroom units. Bonanza, Creekside, & Tamarack. Pet friendly.

Lower Campground
The NCHF board heard the call for an expansion of the festival as our homebrewing community has grown. In the last two years we have seen huge growth in the number of people wanting to attend the festival. Lake Francis has worked with us to provide a second campground adjacent to the festival grounds, with increased amenities last year
While there isn’t power in this campground, it does have the benefits of a one-minute walk to the fest grounds without the hill climb to get ‘home’.
When you purchase your festival ticket you will have the option of selecting either upper or lower campground. The number of tickets for each campground is limited. There are only 150 festival tickets available for the lower campground. As always, there are ‘camping only’ tickets which can be used in either campground for spouses, children and other non-drinking attendees.
If you aren’t familiar with the layout of Lake Francis’ property, the from above is an aerial view of the Lake Francis festival grounds, and the “town” buildings. Just off the bottom of the image is the lake. Most of the main (upper) campground is off the left edge of the image. The “town” is somewhat hidden in the tree cover. The labels and arrows should help you get oriented, if you’ve been to NCHF before.
NO FIRES ALLOWED EXCEPT IN THE DESIGNATED FIRE PITS!
